Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah Elizabeth.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started in 2013 on my own. Within 10 months, I quit my full-time job, opened up a tiny studio, 10 months later, moved into a 3000 sq. foot studio in Richmond and was there for 3 years. I added more members to the SEEM team.
Now, we are currently in old Katy off 5th street. There are 3 photographers, videographer, product designer, tech guy and social media team. I absolutely have the best team!
Has it been a smooth road?
There were definitely struggles! There are so many amazing photographers in the Houston and surrounding areas. I had to learn to have tough skin and not pay attention to what everyone else was doing or saying.
Best advice is to never get comfortable, keep learning and trying to grow. Don’t give up or have self-doubt. Find good people in the same field and actually make REAL friends.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into SEEM photography story. Tell us more about the business.
I personally specialize in seniors, families, pets, and children.
Chelsea does newborn and boudoir,
Brittany shoots weddings and births.
I am beyond proud about how our work meshes so well and looks cohesive. We are a one-stop shop, Providing unique props, dresses (maternity, adult, teens, children), couture pieces as well. Plus we offer gorgeous heirloom pieces that can be passed down.
