Today we’d like to introduce you to Haley Hoover.
Hi Haley, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My background is in Public Relations, though I always had an inner knowing that I was meant for more than just that. I started my first blog at 18, to help people find their authenticity in a spiritual way. It’s taken over a decade to get there, but essentially that’s still what I do today. I use art and writing to help people find their own inner selves, their highest selves.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all. In a world where we so so many coaches and gurus telling us how easy it is to make 6 figures in 6 weeks, I’m here to say it’s usually not quite like that. Each of us are here on a journey. The journey of entrepreneurship is different for all of us, and therefore it must be respected. The reality is that most businesses fail within 5 years. You must ask yourself, what would you do even if you never had one client or customer? That’s the difference between a business idea and a calling.
My journey has had both — me pushing a business idea and often burning out, and also me failing my calling and not hitting financial goals. As I said, everyone’s journey is different but for me it’s been much more about trusting myself, speaking my truth and sharing from the heart than it has been about hitting specific numbers and traditional outcomes.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an Intuitive Artist, which means I step up to the canvas with a blank mind. I allow the colors to speak to me and the shapes and figures emerge as it feels right. Every piece is completely unique and surprising to me, because I allow the creative energy to flow through me; I don’t force it. This is the feeling each of us gets when we are in flow with our own intuition and creativity. This is the juicy stuff of life! Unfortunately, most of us don’t spend much time here because our society pushes us into a more logical-analytical type of thinking. Most of my workshop participants say that in 20 minutes, they feel totally relaxed, at ease and more themselves. It’s really much more simple than we think.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
My corporate art workshops are great for team building. I can customize the opportunity for either more self-development or just pure fun, depending on the outcome you wish to achieve. I’ve had the pleasure to be a regular presenter to Google employees, as well as other major companies. If you’d like to talk more about how I can support the creativity of your team, please email me at haley@thesparklinghippie.com.
