Today we’d like to introduce you to Jada Bell.

Hi Jada, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve been cooking since I was about 8 years old. My mom was a single parent for a while when I was younger so she taught me to cook, so that I could assist with feeding the family when she had to work. I always had a love for cooking and feeding others but as I’ve grown older it’s become a connection with others. Someone asked me what made my cooking so special. Well, I put my heart and soul into every meal and also my intentions are set to touch people’s souls when they eat my food. The food is cleaned and prepped and catered to your specific needs. Here, down south we love to eat comfort foods. Soul food, Seafood, Cajun Food, BBQ. I just sprinkle some extra time, love and care with every meal.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
I must say honestly, it has not been a smooth road. I know what I’m capable of and what I can accomplish but receive the support needed to do so has been hard. Not only am I a caterer and private chef but I’m a single mother to three teenagers (it’s never a dull moment). Still, I stand even during those times. I cook my way through them, lol.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in cooking soul food. You know, food that the ancestors would love, lol. I’m most proud that my name is mentioned in rooms that I have yet to enter with regards to cooking. What sets me apart from others is that I have multiple ideas in different areas that thrive from this one gift that will succeed.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I’m shy when engaging with my clients lol, even though it may not seem as though. I’m sweating and having a whole conversation in my head on how to calm down and speak slowly, lol.
