Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiara Davis.
Hi Kiara, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Well, I can honestly say my walk started with passions I’ve always had since I was younger. Dancing has always been a gift in my life since I would say probably birth lol 😂 ( that feeling of joy and peace I get; the surge of energy I feel through my body every time I hear a song that truly speaks) dance always me to be free with myself but also pushes me to new levels at the same time. Modeling started a little later in my life but has become a passion through helping me to break forth in my confidence. Walking on runways, taking pictures with different photographers, taking a leap of faith, and getting signed to an agency all of it pushed me to learned to love my natural self.
Growing up I was that girl that truly didn’t like the way she looked (my natural hair, skin tone, how small I am) there were times where I thought I looked like a boy because in my eyes I wasn’t as pretty as all the other girls and I struggled with that for honestly years.
That self-worth issue trickled down into me just not believing that I was good enough for anything. Even when it came down to me accomplishing things in dancing and modeling it’s like at the moment it would feel great, but deep down there was still something missing, I just couldn’t understand why (why in the midst of everything did I still like I wasn’t good enough?
The answer I got came in the form of a testimony I am blessed to still be walking through today.
That answer is what got me to where I am now!
Being guided by Elohim himself without even knowing it at the beginning, through giving my life to YAH, being blessed to truly have a relationship with my creator. Has allowed me to see the Authentic masterpiece he created me to be.
That has stirred a confidence in me that words truly explain!
Through that confidence it has allowed me to propel in believing and pushing in the gifts he has blessed me with!
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road definitely has had its hard days I’ve had to unlearn a lot of habits that weren’t healthy at all, The constant comparing, the need to be perfect, literally analyzing every little thing I did to make sure it was viewed as acceptable to other people (the people pleaser in me had to go), all the way down to having to learn to be patient with myself as I’m unlearning the unhealthy and replacing it with healthy! But through constant repetition of training myself to speak life and not death over myself, even over any type of life situation that may occur really has helped and still helps me till this day.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a Hip-Hop choreographer that is blessed to work at Pro status Houston (BIG UPs to PRO as working for that company is a part of my testimony as well) and a Model signed to Neal hamil agency. So, I’m basically a Dancing Model!
My specialty in this I would say being able to share everything I’ve learned from my past training with other companies and being able to share it with so many other people that love the art of dance. Creating that free environment to have fun, grow, evolve in the craft.
Just allowing every person to be who they are and to love who they are ❤️ as I’m constantly learning the same thing!
I’m grateful to do this with both dancing and modeling!
So, I would say the best part of this is everybody is growing!
What’s next?
My plans in the future is to beginning to create content that brings hip-hop dancing and music that truly Glorifies Elohim. With every dance project there will be a message attached to it! Creating opportunities for people, opening possibilities for connections within the dance community while spreading light and truth that could in turn help someone (even if it’s just one person) that is looking for the relationship with him like I was!!!
