Hi Taina, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start, maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
Hello, My Name is Taina Olmedo, I live in Houston, Texas. I started in the Beauty industry 8 years ago when I started my education in Houston Training School! I did graduate in 2017 as a Cosmetologist.
Since the first moment at school, I did enjoy doing hairstyles, so I dedicated much time practicing and watching hair tutorials, When I was at school, I remember I used to participate in every hairstyle contest…
When I graduated from school, I used to help many makeup artists who recommended me with their clients, thanks girls!!!
With the time I started to have more clients which I used to serve at their houses, until I decided to rent a boot in a popular hair studio! Thanks to Kira who always supported me and gives me the opportunity!
I was working in that beauty studio for 2 years till one day I decided to open my own studio, talking to a coworker who’s name Jhosselyn about my plans we decided to move together to a new place with no clue where to start, but having on mind our goals, we did start looking for a beautiful place to start our business.
After 2 months of hard work, we can now enjoy having a beautiful place “RJ Glam Studio” where we can attend our beautiful clients and make them feel like Princesses and Queens!
Our goal, bringing them to a high-quality experience on their important day and make them look amazing, Beautiful, and Confident.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
There was a lot of situations along the way; first one having two babies when I started school my babies were 2 1/2 years and six months. Been single mother and having to work night shifts and going to school day time for almost 2 years, that was so tiring, having no time for my kids 🥲!!!
Then finally I graduated from school and facing the reality of being a new hairstylist with no experience and no clients, that was really hard making people to trust in my work!!!
It takes me so much time, but always in my mind all my dreams of creating a better future for my kids.

I am a Hairstylist!!! I love doing Quinceañera and brides Hair, it is for me really exiting create their beautiful hairstyles and make them look and feel so special on their important day!!
I have 6 years experience now doing and creating a lot of beautiful hairstyles, improving and updating new techniques, and looking forward to always bring my clients the most trending hair looks!!!
I am so proud of the woman I am in this moment, a strong woman who trust and believe in myself, always confident bringing my family always to the best!
What’s next?
Since I recently started with my own business my plans for the moment are working hard to make my business grow, always offering all my clients a nice experience and the most quality services!!!
I want to thank God for this Beautiful journey it wasn’t easy, but each step made me be on the place I am today!
