Conversations with Taryn O’Neal

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taryn O’Neal.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Hello! My name is Taryn O’Neal. I started my Business Too Much Style By T, the summer of 2020. I pre styled full summer outfits, down to the shoes! And I posted them to my social media, just to show my unique style. And I received so much support from women that actually wanted to purchase the entire outfit. All of that support inspired me to pursue entrepreneurship. This experience has brought me so much joy. It allows me to wake up daily and do what I love, which is Shop and Style for individuals, families, and couples. That just don’t have time to take out of their busy everyday lives to give their wardrobe the proper attention it truly needs. For them to actually show up in the world like they’re suppose to.

Oppose to just putting on anything. I get the privilege to shop the latest, and greatest fashions for them. So they can walk in any room, with confidence. And tackle the day in style. I take it very seriously!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Has the process of running my own business been smooth, no? Am I gonna keep going??Absolutely! Before everything else, I am a Wife and Mother. And family comes first! But being a stay home Mom for 2 years, I wanted to create a space for myself that allowed me to give back to the community again. To be completely honest, finding balance has been the number one struggle for me in so many ways. Still learning how to navigate through motherhood, being a Wife, and still trying to find my individuality again. I had to learn so many things so quick that was happening all around me. My Son particularly being diagnosed with Autism the same year I began my business. I felt like I had to choose in a sense. Should I give up my dream only to focus on the services needed for him, or can I do can do both?! So, I worked myself to the max. And I began to get overwhelmed. My whole mission for my Business is to of course do everything I can to provide the best experience. I just didn’t want to let them down. But as time passes. It’s getting easier to mange. Women always figure it out! Sometimes it just takes time. And I’m ok with that.

As far as Business struggles, the beginning was rough. I thought I could provide multiple services at one time. I just threw them all out at once. In doing this, I confused my audience and potential customers. I felt defeated and actually wanted to quit before I even got started. I had to learn quickly, that it takes time and patience to build a brand and roll out services as the demand awaits. And suddenly it all became clear for my supporters to understand what the vision was for my business. Now, Too Much Style By T has been booming! Shout out to my Style Slayers! For always supporting me! And to think I wanted to give up, I wouldn’t be doing this interview right now. I’m so honored to share my experiences. For this journey hasn’t been easy. But it’s so worth it!

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a Personal Shopper and Stylist. I also am a Referral Specialist. I can connect my clients with services such as (Photographers, Make up artist, Hair Stylists, and much more) These professionals are all in my network. In order for my clients to get the best experiences. My work is to inspire and promote self confidence in all individuals through style and grace. I touch women, men and children in a way that will allow everyone to see their beauty and feel empowered through what they wear. I want to change the narrative that sizes on the tags matter because that’s simply isn’t true! I have created a safe and judge free zone. For everyone to know that they can be confident in ANY shape or size! And to into clothes that just makes us feel good! And work the room! So that is what you can find in my company.

How do you define success?
Success should start with you! And what you believe the standard is. It can never be a right or wrong answer to this question. But my definition of success is, having a clear mindset, self love, faith, and family. Shout out to my Husband Justin Sr. And my 2 children Justin Jr. and Jade! They truly support me in everything that I do. And their support is what makes me Successful!
