Daily Inspiration: Meet Anastasia Nouveau

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anastasia Nouveau.

Hi Anastasia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
When covid started, I began baking and cooking for friends and family to stay connected in our isolated environment at that time. As the baking continued, my close ones encouraged me to continue making treats for them, telling me their favorite, and after a short while, they gave me enough strength to start a small bakery on Etsy, where other treats can be tried by folks all over the US. I have always wanted to get baptized, and I finally made the decision in July of 2021, I was baptized under the name Fevronia. Around the same time, Fevronia’s Patisserie came about! Since then, I have been able to ship cookies for people to enjoy Fevronia’s Patisserie.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
From the beginning, I knew baking would be a hobby, although I would love to have a full time business one day, I realize that will take more time, and patience is important in the meantime. I enjoy baking for the folks who place orders on Etsy, and try to accommodate as much as possible.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My background and education is in Oil and Gas, but after a recent layoff, I have transitioned to the IT world. I enjoy this industry, and am learning new things every day. I’m thankful for this opportunity to expand my horizons.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
Houston is so diverse, the ability to find authentic foods from every part of the world is one of my favorite things. But, as every Houstonian, but least favorite part is the traffic.
