BeatsByNIX is an American, Platinum-selling music producer and sound engineer. Born and raised in Gabon, he moved to Houston, TX in 2008 to attend college. Influenced by legends like Dr. Dre, Drumma Boy, Timbaland, and Scott Storch. NIX launches his producing career in 2012.
In 2015 he made a name for himself by producing the single Attila for Multi-Platinum selling artist Booba, featured on his Certified Platinum, 8th studio album Nero nemesis. Beats By NIX’s production credits include artists like OTB Fastlane, Lil Reese, Lil’ Keke, Sosamann, Cristina Mackey, Gabonese Afro beat star J-Rio, rising French star Vicky R, Alonzo, Sarkodie, Bisa Kdei, Elh Kmer, Didi B, Kiff No Beat, Kôba Building and many more.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s never been easy. It requires a lot of work, time, discipline, and self-motivation. It takes a toll on family and social life in general but small rewards along the way kept me going and focused on the bigger end goal.

I am a music producer and sound engineer. Started in 2012.

What were you like growing up?
I was very creative I constantly express myself and as many art forms as I was exposed to. I was a very outdoorsy active kid who loved entertaining friends and siblings during my extrovert time. I loved building things from scratch during my introverted time. Art, engineering, and soccer were my fuel.
