Today we’d like to introduce you to Cyntreia Hayes.
Hi Cyntreia, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I’ve always loved to travel & I’ve always been the one to book the vacations & activities for my family & friends. My family and I always did local trips to San Antonio, Austin, Dallas, and we have driven to Oklahoma once. My first time on a plane was in 2013, the girls and I took flight to New York,
Ever since then, I have been addicted to traveling, and my favorite traveling buddy is my husband, Colby Hayes.
When I was offered the opportunity to make a living by doing what I love to do I immediately jumped into it. It’s a plus that being a travel business owner provides residual income, generational wealth, and financial freedom.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Absolutely not. It was a struggle at first; it was very overwhelming.
As with any business, you have to put in the work and effort; nothing comes easy. Consistency and content are key with this business. You have to constantly market yourself, know your target audience, master your niche, and learn your product. Come up with a schedule, a balance; once I did that everything started to run a lot more smoothly.
My daughter, Cyntrelle Ward, also helped me cross some tough obstacles. She helped learn with me, she organized things, she set boundaries (that I wasn’t going to do), she helped with researching, she took over marketing for the business. She did a lot of behind-the-scenes work that, had she not helped with, I would have pulled all of my hair out by now. LOL
Everyone needs a mentor. I enrolled into That Travelish Academy, owned by Krystal Foster, and let’s just say Ms. Foster is heaven-sent.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in making travel easy & affordable. I want everyone to see the world & know that you don’t have to break the bank to do it. I’m the queen of balling on a budget. LOL
When I look back at to how it was when I started to where I am now & the plans I have for the future, it makes me proud & it makes me push harder.
What sets me apart from others? Customer service. I go above & beyond for my clients. I really aim for them to not do anything but arrive to the airport. That’s it, that’s all. I will handle EVERYTHING else. I’m on call from the time the client departs until they return safely at home. I’ve often been told that I spoil my clients, and I’ll take that as a compliment because I love doing it.
We’re always looking for the lessons that can be learned in any situation, including tragic ones like the Covid-19 crisis. Are there any lessons you’ve learned that you can share?
Always be prepared for the unexpected; if the unexpected happens take the time to better you, yourself, your product, and your business. Stay ready to keep from getting ready.
