Daily Inspiration: Meet Gage Davis

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gage Davis.

Hi Gage, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started learning to tattoo in 2017 while still on active duty in the Coast Guard. After completing that, I got my clientele up enough to make the transition easier to just tattooing. It took a lot of hours and focus but it was all worth it.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s definitely been pretty rocky at times. From working so much between the two jobs, money being tight, and “partying” way to much. Thankfully nowadays, I don’t have those issues. The best advice I can give for life hiccups is to recognize the problem as soon as you can and start making changes.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
So I do tattoos. I’m still in what I’d consider the infancy of my career, going on 4 years. My preferred style to work in I’d consider neo-traditional. I’d say what my clients know me for is my ability to do most styles well and prompt customer service.

How do you think about happiness?
Family, food, and the gym. Work is to support my family. Culinary is my other artistic outlet and the gym is how I support myself. If I’ve got all three of those, then I’m a pretty happy camper.
