Today we’d like to introduce you to Tremaine Kwasikpui.
Hi Tremaine, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I come from a small town in NC with a population of 525 people. As a young child, I have always dreamed of living in a major city and conducting business. In college, I studied Business and began my career in Higher Education at a local community college. While here, I began to work on the “business”. I completed a Master’s degree in 2015 and the practical degree of the study asked us to create a business.
My idea was around buying and holding real estate to create residual income by leasing the properties. I started with my first distressed property purchasing for 5k. After a renovation budget, I was able to lease the property for two years. During this time, I was married, created a family and moved to Houston, Texas. I leased my second property that was my home prior to moving. These properties sustained my income while moving and gave me the courage to pursue more.
Now as a licensed REALTOR®, I work the Houston market specifically as a Buyer’s Agent. I want to help any and everyone with the dream of buying a home for residential or business purposes. I offer free buying classes at the University in which I work. I speak to local colleges and high schools about the importance of business and homeownership.
My journey has been amazing. It is based on faith and risk. Having the faith that I will be led to make the right decisions and I am thankful the rewards thus far!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has been a journey. I have had many stumbling blocks but mostly from not having experience. I have had to redo projects that I thought were complete. I have had to learn with each new client.
I have grown over the past few years and I know that there is no substitute for experience.

I am a higher education professional and Licensed REALTOR®
As an Educational Professional and Real Estate Agent, I am in the business of helping people. I work in education as Director of Student Activities and I help build and mold leaders. I worked with colleagues to build an ESPORTS Center, Food Market, leadership development programs and much more. This helps me with my passion for business as I oversee about a million-dollar budget and get to develop and sustain programs.
As a REALTOR®, I work to help people buy and lease properties. To date, I have served over 50 clients in my two years of service. These are not huge numbers but they all have meaning to me. Personally, I am thankful to have worked with such a diverse clientele.
What sets me apart is my passion and energy! It is like none other and I am proud of this. My most proud accomplishments include but are not limited to being Higher Education Partner of the Year from the Houston Food Bank and Top Three in Buyer Sales Volume from Real Estate with my Brokerage.
How do you think about happiness?
What makes me happy is seeing people succeed and making my family happy. My wife and I have three children and it amazes me to see how the work I do impacts their lives. The love to visit the college and go “show houses” This has become a part of their lives.
Seeing some of my former student workers or club leaders win at life excites me because I never know how things will come full circle. My first three real estate clients were former students from the University where I work. This is the why behind Tremaine Kwasikpui
