Today we’d like to introduce you to Andy Ayoub.
Hi Andy, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Born and raised in Jordan, where I attended a private Christian School. Moved to NY at the age of 18 and where I lived mostly since then. I went to Stonybrook University and received my bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering. I worked in sales and sales management for about 10 years. In 2008, I decided to take a year off and travel the world! Italy, France, Thailand, Dubai, Croatia…..many more countries. I moved to Jordan and Dubai for a few years afterwards, then moved back to NY in 2015. I worked for corporate America for a while then I decided to start my own business and move down to Houston! At the end of 2021, I moved down to Houston, the Galleria area. I started my business in IT Services, https://www.
Now, I am working hard on growing the business and enjoying life
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Never easy. Even going back to my college days, I was being financially supported by family but due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to work throughout college and support myself!
Now, I established my own business and looking to grow the business to where I like it to be. Never an easy task! But it is happening:) I have been working the hardest ever!! So many challenges, finding the right office, employees, legal affairs, accounting and most of all, “Finding Clients”.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
My company is part of a big IT Franchise called TeamLogic IT. https://www.teamlogicit.
We provide complete IT services to small/medium size businesses. We are your outsourced IT Department, if you will. Smaller companies are underserved when it comes to IT. That’s where we come in, we provide Enterprise Level IT services at a reasonable price for smaller companies. For large companies, we provide what we call “Co-Managed Services”. Larger institutions have some internal IT employees but in a lot of cases the internal IT team can not keep up with the work load and that’s when we come in and Supplement their internal resources, hence “Co-Managed”.
The Following is part of my Introduction letter:
Our goal is to make Enterprise-class IT support available and affordable for all businesses regardless of their size and needs. As a franchise of a national corporation, we follow corporate Guidelines, Standards and Best Practices in implementing our services while utilizing the resources of an 18-year-old IT support organization. We have shown great success implementing our comprehensive approach in managing IT Systems for small to medium size businesses. For Enterprise size businesses we can supplement their existing IT workforce by co-managing and executing IT projects. We have a local presence with a national reach, with more than 250 offices nationwide, we are capable of supporting multi-location (States) businesses if needed.
Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
Starting and running a business is not for everyone, BUT, if you are up to the challenge, make sure you have the financial backing and have a contingency plan if things do not go as smoothly as anticipated. You need to work really hard and smart for a very long time before you can see results. Your new target in life is the SUCCESS of your business! That means you might miss out on a lot of social events, reduce your personal spending and do whatever it takes to be successful!
