Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Gallien, founder of MasterPlan Media Group: a branding, marketing, advertising and public relations startup.
Hi Anthony, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
It all started during my years of working with KTSU 90.9 FM as their news anchor and news director. I helped them launch their urban division in 2020, which gave me the inspiration and motivation for Master Plan Media Group. We started off as MasterPlan Productions, a video production company, and then later developed a sister company in Gallien Music Publishing — where we had a successful jingle that we did for Gallery Furniture. And now, that has developed into a full-service creative ad agency that prioritizes minority business enterprises. Our promise is developed around our concept of the 3R’s: To make each brand Relevant, Remembered & Respected. Our mission is to use marketing, branding, advertising and public relations as a force for good.
We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The journey, like any journey, figurative or literal, has been one of mountains and valleys… No one goes to a theme park for a smooth ride, and no Hollywood blockbuster ever came without twists and turns in the plot.
A smooth road is a boring road… one that causes sleep to rise, causing the driver to end up in a possibly worse situation than if one were experiencing a few bumps along the way. As I always say, the bumps keep us awake at night…they keep us stimulated, always on our p’s and q’s, in anticipation of any permutations along the way.
As the child screams, “Weee!” as they ride down the slope of a hill, so do our Master-Planners. It gives us our daily dose of thrill!
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about MasterPlan Media Group?
MasterPlan Media Group is a full-service creative agency that balances purpose with profit. We strive to provide jobs of dignity and purpose for our MasterPlanners. We are most proud of our core values:
- Morality & ethics are a central theme: we do business with a strong sense of staying true to our value system and internal compass.
- Diplomacy: the art (and science) of flourishing in a multicultural environment in a way that is understanding, respectful, and honors the differences of others.
- Broadcast quality is our MasterPlan stamp of excellence on everything we produce. ● Innovation is our foresight in being ahead of the curve and industry trends.
- We value fluid diversity: creating a work environment where our stakeholders are as diverse as the society we do business in.
A brand is what consumers think about you, remember about you- it goes before you and it lingers behind you even after you’ve left the building.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I love best about this city is the diversity- a very important and needed feature of a well-rounded human being. Not just diversity of ethnicity, but the diversity of culture, diversity of experience, and diversity of thought.
Diversity has the power to make an economy or organization more effective, more successful, and even more profitable.
What I love least about the city is that I don’t have the keys to it…at least not yet!
