Today we’d like to introduce you to Rhovonda Brown.
Hi Rhovonda, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I experienced some horrible things as a child. I witnessed the murder of my mother when I was four years old, and was physically, sexually, and emotionally abused. So I carried a lot of baggage filled with low self-esteem, insecurities, fear, rage, loneliness, an unwillingness to forgive, and loathsomeness toward myself. I had anxieties and constantly believed I wouldn’t see my 25th birthday since my mom and oldest brother died at that age.
But here’s the most beautiful part of my story. I found love, true love. By God’s grace, Christ reached down into the pit I was trapped and drowning in. He pulled me out and redeemed, washed, and transformed me into someone new. God showered me with His powerful LOVE and showed me my true identity and purpose in Him. And now, I stand forgiven, loved, and FREE! Not only that, but God sent me my husband who patiently loves me unconditionally like Christ loves the church. I am grateful that we partner together to serve God’s people.
Today, I get to encourage and empower women through my books, preaching, teaching, and other opportunities that are given to me to impact lives. I am honored to motivate women to embrace who they are, ignite their passions, and live their purposes. Also, I’m delighted to bring smiles to children’s faces as they read, listen, and interact with one another while reading my children’s books.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it has not been a smooth ride. Some of the struggles I have faced as an entrepreneur thus far are feeling overwhelmed and stretched beyond my capacity, and at times, experiencing imposter syndrome. But I trust God daily for directions and connections as we move forward standing on our mission.
Through these struggles, I’ve learned to encourage myself and remind myself that I’ve been called to do this. I’ve been appointed by God to share the love of Jesus and the gifts He has given me to uplift women, children, and the world. I remind myself daily about my purpose and walk boldly and freely in it trusting God’s plan.

Rhovonda L. Brown Enterprise is a faith-based multi-service consulting firm for women. Our mission is to encourage, equip, and empower women to reach their full potential, ignite their passion for Christ, and empower them to walk in freedom living in their purpose. We offer the following services:

As the owner of Rhovonda L. Brown Enterprise, I am a multi-passionate creative who loves working with other creative women, even those who struggle to tap into their creativity. I am an encourager who roots for the underdog, the forgotten, the neglected, and the unloved. I am a self-taught web designer and an award-winning self-published author.
With over 10 years of experience in nonprofit management, nearly 24 years of administration, and spending many years ministering and educating the youth, my mission is to help others reach their full potential, live their purpose, and walk in freedom. I empower entrepreneurs to share their gifts and creativity with the world. I work hard so they can be proud and pleased with the outcome of our services. My expertise, experience, and passion help me to inspire women to:
- walk in freedom letting go of their past
- identify their identity in Christ and embrace their uniqueness
- embrace the love Jesus Christ has for them
- and live victoriously.

What are your plans for the future?
Rhovonda L. Brown Enterprise is looking forward to launching our digital courses where our clients can grow spiritually in their walk with Christ, discover their purpose and passion,manage stress and anxieties through journaling, and have resources and support for writing a book from start to finish.
We are also making plans for our 9th Walking in Freedom! Workshop.
