Hi Andrea, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Andrea started the business over 11 years ago while on Maternity Leave with her second child. She began baking cupcakes and creating custom gift baskets for friends and family. Shortly after returning back to Corporate America, she began venturing into event coordinating, custom mobile dessert bars, and teaching herself how to bake and decorate various desserts. In 2015, Andrea decided to invest more into her business while still upholding an Assistant Manager position in Corporate America. That investment would lead her to working with La’Torria Lemon, owner of Lemon Lime-Light Media Company, which would soon have FYC working with BET, KHOU, Ashley Stewart, and many more. In 2021, Andrea decided to pursue her business full time. She says, “Walking away from 65-70K a year and 15 years of hard work was not easy, but well worth the Sacrifice for my Health, Family, and Business.” Andrea is now able to exercise her gifts and talents, helping others gain confidence and skills along the way. Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The overall road of owning my own business has not been smooth at all, but I would not take back anything through the entire 11-year journey. I am currently 6 months in to experiencing the true reality of full time entrepreneurship. When you go from working for someone else to now working for yourself, it actually takes more discipline, many self talks, and motivation to keep going. There will be many ups and downs, but you have to trust the process and remember that God is faithful. I’ve learned that when you take those leaps of faith, you are showing God that you trust him. He will not fail you and he has not failed me yet. My business is elevating monthly since I became full time and I can’t wait to see what’s coming.

I specialize in numerous things. My company started making custom gift baskets and cupcakes 11 years ago. We are now specializing in Custom Cakes, Various Desserts, Mobile Dessert Bars, Custom Event Decor, and most recently One on One Cake Decorating Classes. Forever Yours Creations name speaks for itself. We strive on catering to our customers’ needs by bringing their desires to reality. We believe that customer service is number one and without the customer, there’s no Forever Yours Creations.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes Andrea happy? Hmmmmmm… that answer has changed several times over the years. Besides friends and family showering me with baking supplies and my weekly Hobby Lobby trips. I would say that being more present in my children’s life daily is what makes me happy. Now that I’m at home, I get more bonding time with them and I’m able to teach them the family business.
