Today we’d like to introduce you to Dayna Hennigan.
Hi Dayna, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was working in the educational field as a High School Assistant Principal when a season of change occurred causing me to end my 18+ year career as an educator and transfer into the world of real estate. This entire transition began during the start of the COVID pandemic, so not only was my family being faced with the unknowns of what was going on in the world, but now we were being faced with our personal financial unknowns.
Being a woman of faith, I stopped and I prayed for guidance and my footsteps were led into the field of real estate and it has been an amazing journey thus far.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I won’t say that it has been a smooth road, there have definitely been some bumpy roads. Going into a new field is always challenging and a bit nervous, but I have been able to maneuver through my new career well with the assistance of my husband and teammate, Roland Hennigan. Having him by my side and as a business partner has been a great asset. We are able to bounce ideas to each other, challenge our thinking, encourage and challenge one another, as well as learn from each other’s client experiences.
Even though I have my amazing business partner, my biggest struggle I endured was myself. I had doubts at times such as: am I equipped to take on this new role, would people accept the information that I was providing, how would I acquire constant clients, etc. I had to get out of my own way in order to become comfortable and confident in my new role.

What matters most to me is ensuring people are ultimately satisfied with their decision. Many times in the industry of real estate, I hear stories of people interacting with realtors that have convinced them to enter into a transaction solely in the best interest of the realtor and not the client. That is not who I am as a realtor and overall, as a person. I am someone that enjoys celebrating accomplishments more than I enjoy celebrating myself and as a result, I live out my saying of “I’m invested in your investment!”
