Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Sommer.
Hi Lauren, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Our floral journey began in the fall of 2019 after our own wedding. We started planning as many of our brides do, pinning copious photos on our Pinterest board and making lists. As we whittled away at the seemed to be never-ending list there was finally a breath of fresh air after checking off the final item a few weeks before the wedding. Little did we realize the vendor mishaps that were going to happen come wedding day. Long story short, some of our vendors fell very short of delivering our dream day. Even though these events occurred, I still ended up marrying the most amazing man I know and was able to enjoy the day with all of my family and friends. Over the next couple of months, we kept coming back to our experience and my previous background in floral design and that we wanted to offer a better quality of service and product than what we received. This vision grew more and more until it became our call to action to provide the most amazing service and floral designs for our brides/grooms.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
We started our business out of our home while working full-time jobs. We launched in February of 2020, right before lockdown. The upside of this situation is that we did not have the rescheduling storm that many established florists had to accommodate. Unfortunately, Covid has caused flower and product shortages all over the globe. We are working hard to source florals for our clients so they can have the wedding they have envisioned for many years! Though these obstacles are impacting our industry, our passion to work day and night to give you the peace of mind that the florals will be beautiful are the reason we do what we do.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
My floral background began back in high school where I started taking floral design classes. The passion began as a child when my mom used to take my sister and I for walks down the road to teach us the floral and fauna in different regions. Fast forward to college, a degree in biology gave me the knowledge to understand the fundamental principles of botany.
