Inspiring Conversations with Veronica of Lash En’Vee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica.

Hi Veronica, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I became a certified lash tech in 2016 and started servicing clients in 2017. My services consisted of lash application and lash training. When COVID began, it changed the course of my business, and I eventually had to stop. During COVID I started to expand my brand via products because I wanted to offer other options to my clients. I had an opportunity to relocate to Houston, so I packed up all my things, business included, and made the move. I’ve continued to sell products online and do online lash training until I learned the area and had the opportunity to network.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road. I believe the journey with any business is never smooth, you are expected to experience the highs and lows, but this is ultimately how you learn and grow as an entrepreneur.

Some of the most challenging parts of my journey was being forced to close my business during COVID, relocating to Houston, and also having to rebuild a client base from scratch. When I first arrived in Houston, I had made a decision to discontinue lash application services, and I was focused on building my brand online with products and lash trainings. I felt it would be too challenging for me to start over with new clients in a new place where I hardly knew anyone. After a little over a year, I started networking, doing pop-up shops and I felt more confident to tackle this fresh start of doing something I truly love.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Lash En’Vee is a beauty brand that provides lash application services, products, and lash education. Before I started my business, I realized that a massive number of women were getting their lashes done, but they were not being educated on the basics of proper care and maintenance. After committing to starting my business, I made a promise to educate and inform every individual that I serviced.

I’m very proud of expanding my brand with quality products that offer my clients options for those individuals that don’t want to get lash extensions or those times they want to take a break from lash extensions.

What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I view Houston as the land of infinite possibilities. There are so many opportunities to do anything you put your mind to do, and I love that. Before I moved to here, a friend told me that Houston will be what I make it and to set my goals and intentions high, so I took that piece of advice and ran with it.

I also love Houston for its sense of community, and this makes networking a little easier in my opinion.

My least favorite thing about Houston would be the traffic, but if you live in a major city, it definitely comes with the territory.
