Today we’d like to introduce you to Ann Vu.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Growing up, I’ve always express my honest opinions on everything! I also have a passion for writing but wasn’t too sure if I was “good” at it. I’ve watched and read through a lot of different blogs and how bloggers start their career and was very interested about being a blogger but still kind of scared. This past year, I was giving an opportunity to intern at a marketing agency. During the internship, I had the privilege to meet so many bloggers and influencers from around the Houston area! So, that inspired me tremendously. I also met other interns that pushed me to step out of my comfort zone and actually start my own blog! I am still a work in progress but the journey so far has been so much fun! Even though this may seem like a “hobby,” it’s actually a lot of hard work! So, I’m still learning and improving daily!
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Blogging might seem easy but it’s actually a lot of work! The process of finding/creating content can take anywhere from a second to days! Also, because I’m still starting, of course, this for me is just for fun but it’s hard to find the time out of a busy day to sit down and write/take pictures/post. When I started, I was a full-time student and full-time worker so It felt like I didn’t have enough time to post consistently. Even now with my full-time job, it’s still hard to find the time. But, don’t let this discourage you! What I like to do is have a personal planner and plan my week I advanced. This will help so much and keep you on track! But, at the end of the day, just have fun with it! Blogging should be fun and not seem like “work.”

My blog, Annpanada is very different. Different in a way that I post anything an everything! From food to fashion to lifestyle and travel! I do it all! I started my blog not only because of my passion for writing but more importantly to help others. Whether it’s to give advice or just to make someone’s day, I’m here for you. I want to reach out and connect with my followers and make sure that they don’t feel alone. I started this blog because I want to help build confidence, respect, and love.
Do you think there are structural or other barriers impeding the emergence of more female leaders?
There will always be barriers to most things In life. Barriers to female leadership is a very important concept that society needs to work on. Every day, women are challenged with a lot of things, from work to home. I want to let all my girlfriends know that you are not alone. Stand up for what is right and be confident. Even when you feel like everyone is against you. Push through and that will prove that you are a great leader.
