Today we’d like to introduce you to Aimee Santana.
Hi Aimee, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m known as Aimz. My name means Beloved. That’s how I came up with BelovedAimz. Since I was a young girl, I loved jewelry and Art. I’ve always been fascinated of the world of arts. And I actually was selling my jewelry when I was in middle school! I had this business in mind for years. And now it’s put into action. I have a mindset that I want people to feel good. To feel empowered. Creating details of art in their style or a logo for their start-up business. It’s an honor to be apart of their journey.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
No! Not at all! 2020 was a hard year for many, Myself included. I didn’t have much money. My photography was put on hold because of COVID. I was also pregnant with my second Son. So I was forced to just Stop. That was hard. But with people staying home. People were creating their own businesses from home. So I started creating logos for people. Creating cute characters from their selfies. And that is how I was getting income for myself. Every week I was creating a design for someone. And then I remembered let me get back to my passion; creating. Started making jewelry once again. I felt like home.
The excitement people got receiving mail. Oh, the joy! I was on an emotional roller coaster for sure! Being pregnant and everything! I went through a lot emotionally and being surrounded by my family and supportive friends. I was able to continue moving forward. I had someone close not believing in me. And honestly, that made me feel like I wasn’t worth it. BUT I AM worth it! And I want everyone to feel valued and heard. I needed that for myself, and so I believed and trusted God and here we are! I have so much support. More support than I could even imagine. And fell in love with myself and found my voice once more. I know my value.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I make designs come to life. I make jewelry, graphic designs, T-shirt designs, website designs, social media graphics, video, photographer, illustrations, painter editor, and interior designer. Oh, and I sing a little. Haha, what a mouth full! I love art! So I surrounded my life around it. It’s what makes my life happy.
Honestly what I’m most proud of? Are my two beautiful boys. I think that is my ultimate work of art. My oldest will always tell me, “Wow, mommy that’s beautiful!” He’s one of my biggest fans in life. I’m so Proud of being a mother. And it shows how much I care when it comes to creating something for someone. I take in account all the details. Details are my thing. I want to catch the eye to the beauty people didn’t see before. I’m not focused on trends. I’m more of, I need to be me. What makes me happy? That is making sure you know you are loved and appreciated. You want that sunflower in your hair. Let’s do it.
How do you think about luck?
No luck. Just Grace. God’s loving grace and forgiveness. That’s the only reason I’m alive. I have every reason in the book to throw in the towel. And I choose not to. God is the only reason I build up strength to push forward. Because if I’m here, It’s for a reason. The support of my family and friends. Wow. It’s a blessing. When you don’t take for granted life’s journey. Trust the process. Great things comes to those who wait. And I strongly believe that. When you remain faithful, the seeds that were planted will be fruitful. Even more I have two boys that I need to set an example. The example of how powerful a women of faith can be.
