Life & Work with Erica White

Today we’d like to introduce you to Erica White.

Hi Erica, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started my YouTube journey in July of 2018. The road hasn’t been easy at all. I had so many obstacles I had to jump over, and even then I would take two steps forward and ten steps back. I went through fazes where I aligned myself with people whom I thought meant me well but they only wanted to attach themselves to me for their own self gain. I understand now why successful people say “It’s Lonely At The Top”, and “More Money More Problems”.

Through all of those trying times, I had God on my side. Sometimes I felt like God wasn’t listening to me and I felt like I was being punished. I started fasting and really creating a relationship with God. I started focusing more on myself and my 2 lovely boys (Kamdyn & Di”Onn, with one on the way) and Ofcourse my YouTube channel. I ignored the naysayers and I really stopped sharing my ideas and my dreams and goals with people. You can be reaching distance from a million-dollar plan and telling that plan to the wrong person can cause you to not move forward with that plan. After focusing on God, myself, my kids, and my YouTube channel, my channel grew like crazy. The key to success is God, Consistency, and faith. Without those three things, you’re going to remain in the same spot.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road hasn’t been smooth. One of the struggles was that I created soooo many enemies along the way. I also had failed public relationships which led to depression and self-doubt. My self-esteem got extremely low and I didn’t know that the internet could be so ruthless. December of 2021 I was 2 months pregnant and I caught Covid. It was like the world was against me because they didn’t care. I was in the hospital for a week due to my now third pregnancy and the YouTube community got worse and worse. They didn’t have any remorse for my situation and old enemies resurfaced. So again, I leaned on God!! Without him, I’m nothing.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a YouTube Star. I have over sixty thousand YouTube subscribers. I’ve done many things on my channel from vlogs, pranks, food challenges, cooking videos, and story times. Now I’m focusing on myself and my kids. I’m most proud of the fact that I finally realized after 4 years of my YouTube journey that I can succeed all by myself and I don’t really need anyone. God, consistency, and faith are the keys.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Strength is the biggest characteristic you need. Times you will feel like giving up but please don’t. If you give up you’ll never know how far you could’ve gone. You also need a creative mindset, be a hard worker, and be willing to try things over and over to see what will work eventually. Find one good trustworthy mentor, be willing to miss a couple of hours of sleep at night, and learn to use your time wisely. You can get so much accomplished in 2-3hours than you can in 10-12hours if you learn how to manage your time.
