Today we’d like to introduce you to Kalie Dickason.
Hi Kalie, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Kalie Dickason, a Realtor in Houston, TX. Growing up I had always been interested in real estate. As I grew older it was always a career that stuck with me, however, I went to college and ultimately never thought of it as an option.
I graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in communications, minor in business and thought the corporate route was for me. After a few years I really craved “being my own boss” and the flexibility that came along with that. I decided to become a licensed assistant to learn more about the industry and see if it was a fit for me. I immediately fell in love with being a Realtor. Not only do I love the real estate side of things, I am such a people person and love making new friendships. Seeing a client close on their new home brings me such joy.
Buying or selling a home can be one of the most daunting and stressful things one can do. It is most likely the largest purchase an individual has made which can be scary. That’s where I come in. I hold my clients hands and guide them throughout the entire process taking a huge weight off their shoulders. I never leave them in the dark and make sure they are happy and satisfied every step of the way. My goal as a Real Estate Agent is to make the process as easy and exciting as possible.
I am honored I get to help others find the perfect home and am so grateful to be a Realtor here in Houston, TX.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Becoming a Realtor is not as easy as some may think. There is a lot that goes into it. From taking the courses, tests, to finding a broker and ultimately learning the real world situations takes a lot of work and dedication. I am grateful I was first an assistant with a ton of guidance. This is where I really was able to learn the ins and outs. However, when I made the jump to being on my own there were of course obstacles to overcome. It can be scary becoming your own boss and being responsible for everything. As any business owner knows, there are many challenges but that is what keeps it exciting.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I am very fortunate to have found Steel Door Realty, my brokerage. I am honored to be a part of the team and definitely feel very grateful to have such a huge support system.
