Life & Work with Tara Baig

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tara Baig.

Hi Tara, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Tara Baig. I was born and raised right here in Houston, TX. I’m going to be as honest as possible about my life journey with you all.

My entire life feels like it’s just all been a blurry mess. I do have my Bachelor’s and my Master’s. I got my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. I’ve held so many jobs! SO MANY! I’ve worked as a waitress, worked in Doctors’ offices, worked in Clinics, I’ve been a therapist, I’ve been so many things. One thing of all those jobs that I didn’t have was Happiness. I got 2 degrees just to come to realize that I went the wrong route.

One thing is always certain: My life’s goal is to help others. Therapy was my way of doing just that. I was able to listen, help, guide, assist…..You name it. But doing that also had its downsides. I lost myself. I lost myself trying to fix others. I lost myself going home and taking my day home with me too. I’m an Empath. A true and Deep Empath. I physically feel others’ pain. That’s when I thought….”How can I help others without hurting myself too?” I quit my job as a therapist and believe it or not, 4 months later I opened my own Storefront.

I own a Crystal & Rock shop. Whoa, right? I did this because Crystals ARE a form of healing! Crystals and Minerals revolve around Energy, Healing and Depth. Every day here at my store, I’m still helping others and listening to their problems: but this time it’s different. I don’t feel the emptiness I felt before. I feel alive and I feel like I’ve fulfilled my life’s calling. Every day I wake up, I’m grateful. I’m thankful. It took me a lot of courage, a lot of tears and a lot of willpower to make this happen. Nobody believed in me. I almost left that bit out. I did all of this with so much doubt on my shoulders and yet here I am. That’s my story.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
NO! This road I have been travelling on has been EVERYTHING but smooth. There have been broken roads, dirt roads, wrong way signs, everything else… you name it. I took a huge chance when I decided to completely turn the direction of my entire life. I have always been all about taking chances, taking risks and fighting for what you want. My strategic plan is simple! It’s called, “Doing It.” It’s not about ideas or dreams! It’s about making it happen! My struggles have been endless. None of that stopped me.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My store is truly a World of Crystals. I have so many different types of stones and rocks of all kinds and varieties. They come from places such as Madagascar, Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina and Mexico! I am so proud of being a Woman Owned Business and led by Myself completely and single-handedly. One of the many things I’m proud of about my store is that everything is ethically sourced! I can confidently name every single rock that is here and I can tell you where it’s from. I don’t offer any type of Tarot/Psychic Readings but what I do offer is a Full Natal Birth Chart reading. It took me over 2 years to be able to properly learn how to read them!

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
To me, the most important thing for rising to success is truly how I make each person that walks through my door feel. The nature of my store is Healing and Love. I want everyone to feel like they are in a safe space with me! (I’m proud to say that I’ve gotten this compliment a lot from customers. ❤️) Everything is all about our Energy and what we put out into the world. I want everyone to feel important. Having strong relationships with my customers is what keeps me going.
