Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Paul.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Tiffany and I, along with my beautiful family Roosevelt, RJ and RyLee are the owners of Generation Next Learning Center. Owning a childcare center has always been a goal for me so in 2021 with God’s guidance and my family’s full support I stepped out on faith. During college, I worked at an amazing child development center that taught children to reach for the stars and I want to give the children in my community the same inspiration. Here at Generation Next we show parents that children are never too young to learn, they are encouraged to shine in their personalities and they are loved and supported every step of the way.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Never worth having is easy and if it’s easy it’s probably not worth having. Sure problems arise but the most important goals is the safety of our children and providing quality education. We make sure to stay on top of the minimum standards set by the state as well as meeting with education professionals to create an amazing learning program for little ones.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
At Generation Next we like to teach through multiple ways of learning. We never want a child to think it’s only one way to do something. Saying the alphabet is nice but singing it and adding movement is even better. But we also teach them to speak it in Spanish and sign them which can spark interest in different languages and ASL. We have found They enjoy learning They can speak and spell in different ways. We want to encourage a yearning to never stop learning.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
Always connect to a person in your field but connect with business workers in other fields also. It’s important to remember you can learn from successful business owners no matter the field.
