Today we’d like to introduce you to Aaron Cooper.
Hi Aaron, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I can say that everything started when I was being told by one of my youngest siblings that I should look into modeling and check out the industry because I could be a good fit for the modeling profession. Now at first, I was suspicious about making that type of leap? But then I had got moral support from a good amount of people, and I just was like, well, why not?!? So, my little cousin had got into contact with a few people who he models with because he’s already big name in the model industry, so he got me an opportunity walking for runway/fashion shows. I ended up by the end of the year, I started to get more involved into doing photography, and it booked big for me to the point I got so much opportunities it was just a level up from there. Then as I started doing modeling, it was definitely helping me out because as a black man or just overall as a man, we suffer from mental health issues, and a lot of people genuinely don’t understand how hard it is for us as men. To keep a smile on our face to keep positive, and not show emotions, and it’s hard, it’s really hard. And I had finally was going up but then was having moments of feeling as if I was drowning, which was my mental health bothering with me so I worked on focusing on just modeling and going to therapy and being more in tune with myself and my emotions feelings. But it was such a grateful thing that I did because it put me in a lot of moments of me learning and better understanding and also being grateful for what I have and where I will be and become in the future too. I feel like I’m life we live off fast lane fast life and never taking pace to be at a great place distance-wise for my sanity and my peace. So, I can say I definitely came along way
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It was smooth at first until I had got my first daughter, and at first, I was freaking out and telling my child’s mother at the time that I wasn’t ready and I was gonna still be single and do me. But then, as I was doing it, I wasn’t realizing how much effect I was doing to this women. So, I decided to get with her, and a year later, I cheated on her, and it was a lot of ups and downs in the relationship because of me, but also because where I was at mentally. Like I felt and thought I was ready and cool down to settle, but I wasn’t; I wasn’t being real with myself and my actions. But I ended up handling everything else for myself in a better light, and now I’m just soulfully focused on my future and my two daughters now. And being a single father isn’t easy, but I keep faith man I really do.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a fashion model, a boxer, and a father. I specialize in emotional intelligence and picking up energy. I’m known for being blunt and straightforward. I believe I’m most proud of being grateful for the friends and family that’s supportive for me and have been there for me. And I’m most proud of the accomplishments from where I was back then and where I’m becoming now today. What sets me apart from others is my work ethic; when it comes to something I do, I really drive to it no matter what, sleep or no sleep, it’s on my mind, and it’s my grind purpose to do so. Another part that sets me apart from others is my overall personality/ character and how I am.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
My friends in my circle, my older cousin, who is literally a brother more than a cousin. My therapist and a few family members.
