Today we’d like to introduce you to Adam Ross Leibold.
Adam, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I am originally from Long Island, New York. As a family, we moved to Texas when I was ten years old. Being Italian descent, my mother kept my brother and I always well dressed regardless if we had any money or not. She always instilled into us, first impressions count and to always dress sharp and classy. I started out in clothing retail in my summers during High School, working for a country-western store in Katy Mills Mall. I ended up going to college for Business Marketing and Management at Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama. Upon graduation, I landed myself a sales role at Xerox, selling door to door businesses copiers and printers. The job came with a mandatory suit and tie dress code. I quickly came into the mindset of wearing a tie every day. From there, I was recruited to work for a custom clothing company here in Houston. With my skills and drive from Xerox and love for fashion and keeping well dressed, that propelled me into the custom clothing world and became one of their top performers.
From there, I worked for three separate custom clothing companies over a span of seven years. I found myself working with some of Houston’s top business executives, professional athletes and local celebs. From the very beginning, I had the mindset to start my own business and wanted to educate and teach the public that suit making is not just a laser cut process but a true craft. We are proud to say we partner with the world’s finest Italian, English and French fabric mills along side with both a Bespoke & Custom process experience. We also provide a concierge service to visit our customers at their homes or offices. I quickly found that I was not “Working” per se and found that I was actually truly passionate in what I was doing and seeing the excitement on my client’s faces whenever they received their one-of-a-kind garments. Quality, comfort and fit are the top most important pieces alongside 5-Star Custom Service, have become the true core values of Adam Ross Custom.
Finally, in January 2020, I was able to start what is now known as Adam Ross Custom in which even during the pandemic, I am humbled and blessed to say we are still building and growing each and every day. We now have three expert custom stylists with a Master Tailor right here in Houston, Texas.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Definitely not. The road has been both a smooth and rocky one. But like anything else I always say to myself, “Would I rather sail with a captain who only has sailed smooth seas or sailed both the rocky and smooth seas”. Some of the struggles have been… especially during 2020, the pandemic. Most of our clients were not in need of custom suits, coats, pants and shirts rather finding them in sweatpants and t-shirts. However, we are proud to say we made it work and stayed afloat.

Bespoke, the crème de la crème of making a suit, is where we physically create the garment from scratch and build the garment onto your body. We work with one master tailor who hands cuts and builds each and every inch of the garment, meaning no machine and 100% hand-made. We are by appointment only, we provide our clients with the service of coming to their home or their offices. They can come to relax and enjoy their experience at our store near downtown. What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success to me, is found within. I find that happiness equals success. From outside the office to within, someone to be truly successful should find joy and happiness in with what they are doing day today. I am proud to say I am happy!
