Meet Adamariz Alamos of longliveadamariz in Katy

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adamariz Alamos.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Adamariz. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started writing songs when I was in 7th grade. I was told by the few I’d show the lyrics to that “I had bars”. It wasn’t until about the 10th-grade year that I started recording. It wasn’t professional at all. No studio at all, I’d record off my phone and they were decent songs. I got about 400 listens per songs but my hunger kept telling me there’s more out there. My senior year of high school, I took an audio engineering course and it changed the way my music sounded COMPLETELY. I got my first song on Spotify on November 17, 2017. I also announced my first album “Moving Pictures” which dropped last month, August 25th. I choose that day because it was my birthday so I knew it would have more meaning to it. So far, it has been blowing up, although it’s not on the charts, it will get there soon.

Has it been a smooth road?
Some struggles I had were losing momentum. I had a pretty solid fan base at the beginning but since I quit along the way I lost some of them. Another major thing was my mixes. I was held back from expanding my fan base because of the lack of professionalism.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
Right now, I’m working on expanding my fan base. Once I have that established I hope to start selling merch and physical copies of my music. I’m known for my ear for beats and my lyrics. My proudest accomplishment is getting on Apple Music and Spotify, that’s a big deal for any upcoming artist. I’m set apart from others because of the hard work I put in. Not only that but the number of lyrics that I write I could have one of the best discographies of my time.

Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Houston is an amazing place for any type of art! I think there are many opportunities here you just have to search for them. I’ve seen many open mic’s all over not just rap/hip-hop but in all genres.
