Meet Adamariz

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adamariz.

Hi Adamariz, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
In 2014, I picked up a pencil and wrote my first song. I continued writing and sharing my songs with close friends for various years until one friend finally convinced me to release my songs on SoundCloud. As time passed, I chose the name: Longliveadamariz and built an extensive discography including my first official single I vs. Y’all released in November of 2017. I would then continue to release 5 albums, 5 EP’s, and over 20 singles on streaming platforms and over 100 remixes and freestyles on my YouTube channel. In my last EP FINDING MYSELF, I announced my separation from longliveadamariz. I acknowledged the many successes I had as longliveadamariz such as over 96 thousand streams on Oceans Remix and over 65 thousand streams on LONGLIVEADAMARIZ: THE SEQUEL . My fans have accepted this last EP with open ears as it has reached over 40 thousand streams in a little over a month. As I steps into 2022, I hope to continue to inspire others and bring to light the many challenges the youth face in this day and age. My first single as “adamariz” is set to release January 31 and is titled “Savage”. I consider it my theme song because it reminds me to be unapologetically me.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. I’ve gone through a lot of doubt, specifically from my own thoughts. I’ve had people tell me I’m wasting my time, or that it’s impossible to become successful in the music industry. I remember in 2015 started recording on my phone. It wasn’t the best quality at all.

One day I decided to start mixing and mastering on my computer and I did a great job on others’ tracks, but when it came to mine, I could never get it right. I’ve gotten denied from playlist and blogs. Lately, my biggest struggle is monetarily. I lost my job in June and haven’t been able to find a job since. This has hurt me and my music because I haven’t been pushing songs out the way I’d like to. I’d love to do more music videos, more photo shoots, more collaborations. Unfortunately, these all take money and a lot of it. I know this is just a bump in the road and I’ll get past it but for now I’ll keep putting out what I can.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Mainly, I’m known as a rapper. As I mentioned before, I also have dabbled and am getting a degree in audio engineering. I also make my own cover art and graphics. Out of all these rapper or music artist, is what I aspire to be. My proudest moment as an artist has to be making music I personally enjoy and watching others stream it and enjoy it as much as me. One of those projects is “LONGLIVEADAMARIZ: THE SEQUEL” and Oceans Remix. These both are insanely close to 100 thousand total streams since they were released. This is crazy to me because I feel my style is different than most. My sound is unique simply because most rappers are male. Not just that, but I always look for captivating beats, that speak to me.

How do you define success?
To me, success is being content with my achievements. It’s reaching not the maximum amount of achievements in life but the ones I’ve always wanted. Personally, some achievements I’d like to reach is 100k on a song. After that, I’d continue raising the amount until whatever the max maybe. Another goal is getting a Grammy! Along with that, there are various artist that I aspire to work with, including Kanye, WHATUPRG, Andy Mineo, Lecrae, Jaden Smith, and more! There are a lot of other goals I could list that would make me feel successful but the list may never end!
