Today we’d like to introduce you to Desiree Palmer, Andrea, and Rodney Wolter.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
A little over 4 years ago we decided to start a travel company to share our knowledge and travel experiences that we have accumulated over the years of living abroad and traveling to 115 plus countries. We continually had people asking us where to go, what to see and what to do. So why not sell travel!
It was during this time that my daughter Desiree had become a single mother. I mention that because that was the turning point in our decision to start a travel business. My husband Rodney and I both knew the struggle of being a single parent. Rodney grew up with a single mother in his early years and I was a single mother raising two children without support. We knew that after we met we didn’t want Desiree to have this struggle of working and not being able to enjoy raising a child or our granddaughter Harper to grow to be a latchkey child. We also wanted Harper to enjoy seeing and experiencing the world. Travel is the best education anyone can ever have! So, we decided to start our family-owned company Intoxicating Travel Group. Little did we know how things would evolve to where we are today. Continual client growth, and 5 new divisions Tours, Romance, Wellness, Heart and ITG Corp with 2 other outside agents.
Has it been a smooth road?
We have been very fortunate to have had a smooth road with very little challenges.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Intoxicating Travel Group story. Tell us more about the business.
Intoxicating Travel Group we have 5 divisions which are:
-Intoxicating Tours – unique customized vacations and tours featuring adventure, culinary, wine, family travel and fulfilling those bucket list adventures around the world.
-Intoxicating Romance – romantic travel featuring proposal packages, destination weddings, honeymoons, and anniversary vacations to romantic destination around the world.
-Intoxicating Wellness – wellness travel for the body, mind, and soul featuring yoga retreats, luxury spas and biking tours around the world.
-Intoxicating Heart – a group of travelers inspiring people to care about protecting our child, our planet, and its creatures through volunteerism tourism.
ITG Corp – A Global Network of Hospitality Travel Consultants providing expertise and coordination to Corporations, Organizations, and Associations for Meetings, Travel Incentives, Gala and Music Events worldwide.
We are most proud to say that we have been able to give our clients amazing travel experiences and memories that will last them a lifetime. As well as our customer service that we give our clients from the time they contact us until the time they return home.
What sets us apart from other travel companies as well as the online agencies is our travel knowledge through Rodney’s life living abroad, working in the airline industry as an advisor to a Royal Family overseas as well as consulting to fortune 500 companies in the oil & gas, military and medical sectors as well as my corporate travel and airline knowledge has helped our agency grow and set us apart in many ways. Clients know that someone is always there to assist them while they are traveling to handle any situation that may arise.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Our plans for the future is adding more talented like-minded professionals to our team. Along with tapping into the new exclusive resorts and up and coming destinations to continue to provide the unique travel and cultural immersion experiences to our clients.
