So, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My husband and I would dine out a lot. My friends and family loved hearing about all of the restaurants we were dining at. One day a girl I know told me, why don’t you start a blog. At the time, I didn’t know much about blogging at all. After researching a little, I decided to start my blog. Thankfully, my amazing husband designed my website for me which saved me so much money and time.
My blog started off as a blog only about food. But has transformed into so much more from product reviews, recipes, travel, faith, fashion and family.
Being on this journey of blogging has been filled with ups, downs and in between, but I wouldn’t trade it.
Has it been a smooth road?
No, there have been days that I wondered if it’s worth it. It’s a lot of hard work that is often undervalued and not understood. Many people think it’s easy but they don’t see happens behind the scenes. The hard work, dedication and commitment it takes to be a good blogger/influencer.
The benefits, rewards and success is not immediate. It takes time.
Please tell us about Da’ Stylish Foodie.
Da’Stylish Foodie is not just a website/blog that is about food. My desire is to build a brand. A brand that is not only impactful, sharing wisdom but helpful as well. Recipes that not the cook that has no experience can follow as well as recipes that will challenge even a skilled cook. As well as product reviews of new products from food to appliances to technology and so much more.
What sets me apart is my passion for what I do. The dedication that I have for my readers, followers, current brand partners and future brand partners.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes, I originally started in Louisiana. It wasn’t until a little over a year ago, we moved to the Houston area. It was scary being that I was already established and well known to move to a new area where no one knew me. Having to start all over again in a brand new area and getting my name out, because Houston has so many amazing bloggers/ influencers.
