Meet Brandon Buttrey of Counter Strike Coffee Company in NW Houston

Today we’d like to introduce you to Brandon Buttrey.

Brandon is a U.S. Navy FMF Hospital Corpsman Veteran and all-around NINJA! He is a 10-year Combat Veteran from Houston, Texas and now produces a new line of outstanding coffee that reflects some of the experiences individuals have while serving this great country. Veterans, Active Duty Military, L.E.O.’s, Public Safety and Military Supporters alike enjoy the animated depictions of each roast while consuming the best damn coffee they had ever had.

This idea has come while teaching medical stuff to an Urban Medical Integration Class. “I provide coffee for my classes and have a donation bucket. There were always a lot of contributors there, so I figured that there is a huge market there”.

Brandon reflected on his time on the service when coffee was held in a high regard, just to be able to function. He knew that if he designed a Military/Veteran friendly coffee brand, that he could have some serious customers. But that wasn’t all. “All of the proceeds go back into the company with a portion being donated to charitable veteran’s organizations.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The amount of support and brand recognition has been outstanding, but with low working capital the company has not been able to reach its full potential.

Counter Strike Coffee Company – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Counter Strike Coffee is an American Warfighter’s motivated premium, small & medium batch coffee brand actively and aggressively sought after by a growing and inspired community of Freedom and Patriotism loving’, battle-seasoned Americans who appreciate a fine artisan roast but without all of the standard coffee shop hipster and “tree-hugger’s panache.” From day one we have set out to be America’s most Patriotic and Veteran Community Responsible American Coffee brand.

Established in 2015, founder Brandon “Doc” Buttery, a 10-year US Navy Fleet Marine Force Corpsmen, built this company organically through social media and an aggressive grassroots marketing effort leveraging a robust and animated Veteran community channel that afforded an immediate nationwide audience. Counter Strike Coffee is currently one of many new Warfighter-Inspired, Veteran owned and operated brands with a highly targeted following of over 31K followers throughout our social networks alone.

All our artesian coffee roasts and blends are completely handcrafted from sustainably sourced beans from Central and South America and are provided through key wholesale channels and select retail outlets. Currently we offer only small-batch roasts and flavored blends with militarily inspired titles.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Watching some of my fellow transitioning veteran brothers and sisters venture into the entrepreneur space and utilize some of my products and advice to succeed and grow into flourishing companies.
