Today we’d like to introduce you to Brittany Kelly.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I graduated high school early and took that break from school to decide whether or not I wanted to go to college or otherwise. I decided to go to college in Beaumont, TX and I attended Lamar University for 2 years and decided to come back to Houston and work and go to school. At age 21 I gave birth to beautiful baby girl, continued to go to school and work. At age 26 I married my high school sweetheart and took on another role as a wife and mother. Life continued on and I still was trying to decide if I wanted to be Nurse, Teacher or something else.
I’ve always had a passion for fashion and creating but I put it to the side to pursue teaching… I obtained my Associates in Arts Degree and then some but teaching wasn’t my niche it was a “safe” decision for me. I decided that I would put myself out there and pursue my dreams. My daughters birthday was coming up so I decided to go all out and have a photographer come and shoot my work and that’s when I decided to go for it. I created social media pages, got a logo, took some seminars and got business cards & flyers and have looked back since
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Nothing is smooth about opening your own business and trying to prove that I can execute any vision. Using my own money to invest into my business. Building my clientele. Promoting.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Kelly’s Kreations & More – what should we know?
I’m not just an ordinary event planner, I style people for events, I make gift baskets, wine glasses, custom labels & invitations. I’m known for being over the top, for glitter & sequins my visions to create. I’m proud that my business is still prospering and will soon flourish and my full potential will be noticed and that after almost a year I’m still here. I’m set apart from the rest because once you tell me what you desire, I’m already mapping out and have the vision that I will execute for you.

My husband Nigel & my daughter Iyana Kelly are my biggest supporters and a few close family & friends have supported me since day one.
