Today we’d like to introduce you to Camille Ussin.
Camille, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I remember being in middle school, snapping pictures of my friends with my disposable camera. Since then, I haven’t stopped snapping! I really started to indulge in photography, after I had my Son. I wanted to capture all of his baby moments, so I did a photo shoot for his first birthday. After that, friends and family started asking me if I did photography, professionally…. so I thought to myself, “why not?” It’s something I enjoy doing.
So shortly after that, I decided that photography was what I wanted to put my energy into. 3 years later, I’m being recognized and interviewed for a magazine in my hometown of Houston, Texas!! What a blessing! This has been an amazing journey so far and I’m just getting started! Thank you Voyage Houston Magazine!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been an easy road. There’s been and still are some late nights, early mornings, and a few roadblocks, I had to learn to be consistent and to not let distractions take me off of my main focus.
It’s still a struggle till this day to stay focused and not let Social media or people distract me from my personal growth and my business growth.
Camille Elise Photography – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am a professional photographer. I am the photographer and founder of Camille Elise Photography. I specialize in outdoor and on location photography. I am known for my beautiful outdoor photos, family photography, lifestyle photography, maternity photography and plenty more! I am most proud of my growth as a photographer and as a businesswoman. I feel what sets me apart from others, is the connection I make with my clients, on and off camera.
My clients leave our shoots very happy and confident in the work that I put into their photos. I know how important it is for a photographer to capture pure, long-lasting memories, and I take all of that into consideration when I shoot with my clients. It’s way more than just taking photos for me and I strongly believe my clients feel the same way!
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I define success by the impact I have on every person that I work with or come in contact with. I make it my mission to leave a positive mark on every person I meet.
