Today we’d like to introduce you to Cassius Graham.
Cassius, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I moved to Houston from Richmond, VA when I was 18. Worked three jobs at one time to pay for college. I ran track for my first college in the fall of 2014 and ended the season 20 in the Nation with three full scholarship opportunities available. Unfortunately, I suffered a torn Librium in my hip and they lost interest, however, I was lucky enough to have had a 4.0 and was able to attend a college in the same conference on an Academic scholarship.
While rehabbing my injury, my athletic physicians found a heart murmur after a fatal seizer post-practice at my college cafe. I was told I could not participate in sports nor train again. Even though it was dangerous, I still decided to train and started taking my health more seriously to cure my heart and within one year I was cleared to compete.
My senior year, I broke two school records and finished top 2 in my conference and top 15 in the Nation for Track & Field.
Personal training has been my passion since 21 when I acquired a morning running group at Kinkaid HS. It later branched off to working for various gyms and working as a head trainer for groups of ages 4-60.
I have held speed & agility camps for youth and teens, as well as training D1 scholarship athletes. I have made a lot of vital relationships through my journey and that has propelled my professional and personal life.
I began modeling by helping a friend with his clothing line that later became very popular in Houston called TH3 GOAT. By helping him promote his brand, it caught the eye of published photographers which lets to me being signed by Slammmanagement based in ATL.
Since then, I have modeled for athletic lines, sunglasses lines, and helped promote supplement lines by doing reviews and post.
Houston is definitely home for the rest of my life, I can’t wait to see what the future holds while I work hard to maximize every day with consistency and dedication.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, unfortunately, I have had a lot of troubles with finding a stable home the first three years, until I met some great people that helped me get to college where I established a stable environment for myself.
Please tell us about Cassiusfit.
My company Cassiusfit started in college when I began training athletes and the. The general population in Houston. At first, I saw it as a summer job but when I was able to pay for my college tuition in cash, I made it my career.
Modeling and acting is also a source of income and has been very successful. I have shot two commercials and am currently the face of TH3 GOAT apparel Luxury streetwear brand.
I am most proud of the fact that my company has changed a lot of lives by helping men and women live healthier lives and have more self-confidence and drive.
What sets me apart from others is my sacrifice. I sacrifice partying, indulging in bad habits such as unhealthy foods, smoking, and drinking. Also, be respectful and kind to everyone no matter their position in life. Whether you’re a homeless person on the street or the CEO of a corporation, I make it a point to treat you the same. Most importantly, my faith, I don’t believe I would be here without my strong belief in God.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
No way! Every experience made me the man I am today.
