Today we’d like to introduce you to Cecilia Hernandez.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Cecilia. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
The year 2013 began my race to this incredible and rewarding future that I stand in today. That year, I received my Cosmetology license, and from then on, I did whatever it took to grow as a specialist in the beauty industry. I did hair and makeup for quite some time, and those were truly eye-opening experiences.
I met so many beautiful women who allowed me into their space and let me be a part of their special day, and in those little moments, I was steadily finding a purpose. I found nails not too long after that, and that gave me an opportunity to stray away from my comfort zone. It was at that point in my career where I stepped into the unfamiliar and became accustomed to challenging myself regularly.
What’s more is I realized that growing as a person was equally important. That was life-changing for me. I found that by giving a 100% into what I did every day — whether it was hair, makeup, nails or even lashes — wasn’t quite enough. I needed to give my all to the business that I had one day envisioned I would start on my own and bring to life.
So, I inserted myself, my personality, my time, my weaknesses, my strengths, and anything else I could surrender to help me become the best version of myself that I could find. And I found that in Haus of Beauté! In 2013, I was running with my eyes wide open on this amazing path of success and growth, and I had no intentions of slowing down.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I couldn’t imagine a longer, winding road of obstacles, but the longer and rockier the journey, the more experience I obtain along the way! I do believe the biggest challenge for me is balancing work life and home life. Sounds a bit cliché, but there’s so much truth to it. Make no mistake, though, it certainly takes a village!
The ladies I work with are phenomenal with the work ethic they bring which makes the business side operate so smoothly. And then there’s my support system which is my children and my husband who give me peace of mind when I spend time with them. They provide me with the extra motivation and push I need to keep the grind alive.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Haus of Beaute story. Tell us more about the business.
Haus of Beauté was founded here in Houston, Texas, and is a beauty salon that simultaneously aims to provide the very best in customer satisfaction, while providing quality products and services for eyelash and eyebrow services to our clients.
We specialize in eyelash extensions, serving you lash lifts, volume lashes, eyebrow tinting, threading and much more all on a pink platter, haha! What we are probably most proud of is the rapport that we build with all of our clients because they have entrusted us to do something that is extremely personal and unique to each client.
When each of our lash techs begins an appointment, whether it be a new or returning client, we maintain the same mindset and focus to individualize the work and extenuate the beauty that’s already there. And I believe this is what sets us apart from the masses.
