Today we’d like to introduce you to Chelsea Sargent Lira.
Chelsea, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
After being on Master Chef Season 9, a lot more doors opened for me in the Culinary World. I had worked in kitchens prior to the TV Challenge but never attended Culinary School. I had started doing private dinners at friends and families homes, but I wanted to make it my full-time job. Now we specialize in Grazing Tables. The New Catering Concept that makes food almost too pretty to eat but way too delicious not to!!! I took my culinary background and combined it with my creativity and now me and my husband get to work together making delicious Tables that are stunning as well.
Has it been a smooth road?
Deciding to quit your job that guarantees a paycheck to doing your own thing is definitely scary, but it has been worth it! Figuring out all the legalities for food prep, insurance, taxes, and much more has been the stressful part. But we have a great product and are so excited to see how far we will grow next year! This was our first year and I am excited to keep going.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
I am proud in the quality of food that we present to our customers. We take a lot of pride in sourcing high-quality ingredients and getting it as fresh as possible. I think our style of catering needs is what sets us apart. We do not like to use heated dishes, we like our food to be able to be room temperature for style and execution. Grazing Tables are what they sound like, they are tables that you can hang about for hours and Graze, nibble, and enjoy! When we see people crowed around the table, eating, chatting and enjoying, that is when we are most satisfied. We bring people together around amazing curated food. We also design custom charcuterie boxes called Grazing Boxes for smaller orders or deliveries. Grazing Tables can take a few hours to set up and require some equipment.
