Meet Christian Newton of Chris Nero in South West Alief

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christian Newton.

Christian, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Started making music and distributing around the age of 15, performing at 17, and working on building my core fan-base as much as possible. The people mean the most to me, it’s who I do it for and represent. I understand them and they accept me so I try my hardest to deliver the best music possible.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s never a smooth road, especially when you want to be the greatest in your own way. When tough times come and you flirt with the idea of quitting, starting over, or even why you even do it in the first place. You don’t want to be or act like the rest so finding your own position/spot is the toughest. Staying unique and true to self is challenging many faces because being another is the fastest way to where they want to be even though it takes time off they longevity. I’m trying to spread a message and help people forever, this is forever for me. I don’t regret it because if hard work is present, that means I’m doing something right and the outcome will be worth it in the end.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
My company brand is “OfficiallyNothing™”, we make something out of nothing. Growing up, kids I was called a “nobody” a lot. In my company, I refer to my supporters the same because “Nobody is Perfect”. We specialize in art, gaming, music, film, cinematography, and if blessed with the opportunity will be a special arts school located in Alief. What sets us apart from the rest is the love for the art. The attention never matters, just the energy and product. The money never mattered, just the outcome and manifestations of ideas. We want to be great from things we genuinely love and care about.

What were you like growing up?
A HUGE nerd, till this day, still is. Playing with “Yu-Gi-Oh” cards, watching WWE wrestling, skateboarding, playing Call of Duty all time, studying the most complex of lyrical rappers. Once I fell in love with rap, my nerdish ways transitioned into my work instead of what I played with. Which others found appealing because many don’t admit to their kiddish ways but once hear a reference of the things I like in my music, they would fall in love because they CAN relate and not hide who they are.
