Today we’d like to introduce you to Christina Rector.
Christina, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Nana Pudding Corner started from a love of a son to his mother: My son Jarrod Rector is the owner of the premier food truck Stuff’d Wings. My son was looking to expand his menu to include desserts, so he asks if I could make my banana pudding. My banana pudding has been a dessert I cooked for him and his brothers for years and they all enjoyed it. Once my son Jarrod blessed me with my grandsons, I started a tradition of them assisting me with making my banana pudding. My three grandsons has grown to love it as well. I often have my grandsons over to my home and the always ask Nana can you make us some of your Nana’s Pudding so this how I became Nana’s Pudding Corner.
My son assistant in my entrepreneurship and now I own my own business. What started as a loving gesture from a son to his Mother is now something that many others has grown to love. My prayer daily as I make a fresh order of Nana’s Pudding for Stuff’d Wings Food Truck is that my customers feel the love of a mother and the love of a Nana.
Has it been a smooth road?
It’s been smooth thus far. The biggest challenge is forecasting the demand and having enough goods on the food truck for all my customers.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Nana” Pudding Corner – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
My business is Nana’s Pudding Corner and we specialize in food truck desserts. Our featured dessert is Banana Pudding. I am most proud of how much everyone loves my products. I was so nervous at first because I’m picky and my hardest critic, so wanted everyone to love my desserts. What set me apart from other is our dessert is made fresh daily nothing is ever next day product. Also, we are from the area we serve and a mother/son collaboration.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
