Today we’d like to introduce you to Deidra Allen.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Deidra. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My journey and career as an Esthetician, I feel was predestined to happen from an early age as I have always been obsessed with my skin. Helping others has always come naturally to me and I love making things look aesthetically alluring so I think it was a natural choice. I am a graduate of Jack Yates H.S. and I graduated from Ogle School of Hair, Skin & Nails with my Esthetics license. I started out providing mobile lash extension and facial services along with working for as well as working for a couple of spas and or beauty bars around the greater Houston area. Using the wealth of knowledge that I have gained from my formal esthetics education, information from other educations/practitioners and my years of hands on experience, I am able to provide a variety of services that my clients love and ultimately deliver the results that they have been looking for. I am wake up everyday excited that I get to do what I love and to make everyone who walks through my doors feel and look their absolute best.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road hasn’t always been easy. There have been times that I have cried, days that I am completely exhausted and have thought about quitting. I also have amazing days because I am doing something that I am so passionate about for a living.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Dei.lish Lash & Makeup Co. story. Tell us more about the business.
Dei.lish Lash & Makeup Co. specializes in customized lash extension applications, facials, body waxing and microshading. I am always investing in my education because I feel that you can always learn something new and I am striving to be a leader in this industry and expand into education one day.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The beauty industry is ever-changing. I do feel like within the next 5-10 years that the trend will continue to move towards a very natural look in beauty. I am looking forward to continuing my education on also focus on skincare services as well as stay up to date on the latest techniques and looks.
