Meet Diego Gonzalez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Diego Gonzalez.

Hi Diego, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started working in the Technical Department of a Broadcast TV Station back in 2005 in my home country Venezuela, since then I have been passionate about this industry. When I came to the US, in 2015, this was my goal, to build up a Video Production company that was focused on streaming live events, with broadcast TV quality to social media platforms such as YouTube & Facebook. But the first step was for me to get people to know me so, I borrowed a DSLR Nikon Photography Camera that shoots videos and started offering video highlights of events, parties, and later on weddings.

But this was not enough for me to sustain my family so, I got a 9 to 5 job at a local TV station as a video editor, and had another job as a software support specialist for the company that owns the software that I used back in 2005 for more than 10 years. Still, I wouldn’t stop doing videos, some were paid some not but in the end, my purpose was to show clients what I was capable of and that I don’t only deliver a great service but excellent quality.

After a while, I was able to buy Professional grade equipment, a started offering live streaming with multiple cameras, I had to get freelancers, some were trained by me and some already had the knowledge.

Since then I have been able to make “Diego Gonzalez” & “4G Media Productions” a company renowned for its quality in the Video Production industry.

We have produced massive events, and partnered with other big production companies to handle the Video side of their events and clients and I can only thank god for giving me the patience and the strength to believe in myself to be able to accomplish my goals, we have not stopped and the best is still yet to come.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road, I had to give “free” shows to people or events, and some were treated as “sponsors” without any form of payment just because some people didn’t believe in what I was offering or what was the purpose of taking their events to be streamed around the world.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I consider myself a very creative AudioVisual Producer and Streaming Specialist.

I shoot videos, edit, stream & produce live multi-camera events.

I specialize in Streaming by broadcasting a show or conference with multiple cameras switched live, just like a TV show.

I’m known for being passionate about what I do and for the quality I deliver.

I’m proud of what I have become of myself and what others have become thanks to me. I share my knowledge with those around me, I share my experience so they can get a little bit of it and make it theirs.

What sets me apart from others is that what I do is my passion, of course, I do it for the money because we all need to eat but in the end, I will always give the best of it, no matter if I’m making $50 or $1,000, I will always deliver the best of Diego Gonzalez.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
I think mentors are all around, and the best way to find what you want is to connect so networking is definitely a must. From my experience, I can say that there have been many mentors in my life, and I take the best of each and combine it with my own.
