Today we’d like to introduce you to DJ Forrest.
DJ Forrest, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Launched our company in 1999 doing small private parties and smaller weddings. We have organically grown the company to one of the most trusted brands by providing full-service event experiences for large and small parties.
Now, we have 7 DJs we use of all types, and can handle all types of shows and genres.
Has it been a smooth road?
Things are never quite as easy as we make them appear because it takes probably 5-7 years and over 50 events performed to even scratch the surface of the level of professionalism that I expect out of my guys. Probably the biggest challenge in the industry is keeping up with all the latest bridal trends and expectations that brides have from all the research they do in 2018.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Xceptional DJs + Photobooths story. Tell us more about the business.
We are known for fun, classy, non-cheesy events. Our professionalism is evident in the smaller details we watch, such as coordination with vendors, timeline planning and managements, and our ability to adjust to the changing timeline in real time. Our company performs over 80% weddings, so we have the wedding process to a fine art, and we are able to maximize a timeline like very few companies.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see the trend continuing where the brides will be more and more hands on. I see DJs being more and more, from being expected to provide lighting, gobos, photobooths, and more within one company. We already achieve this, but brides are more and more hands on these days, and I can see this trend continuing.
