Meet Dominique Nwajei

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dominique Nwajei.

Dominique, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I grew up in Sugar Land, Texas attending Clements High School, gaining an academic scholarship to Prairie View A&M University where I majored in Politically Science and minored in Business. I attended Thurgood Marshall School of Law holding memberships in such organizations as Phi Sigma Alpha Law Fraternity and Black Law Students Association. During Law School, I obtained a position as a law clerk working at a Criminal Law Firm under Timberly Davis where I was molded into the Criminal and Family Lawyer I am today.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Being solo was not easy. You have to have a go-getter attitude and get out there and hustle. If you can do that, you can make a living. Never stop perfecting your craft and you’ll always be in business.

Establishing clientele would have to have been my hardest obstacle. But once word of mouth got out, it was the gift he kept on giving!

Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I am a criminal and family law attorney. I am known for fighting hard for parole cases, a drug case, divorces, and custody matters. I’m most proud of being apart of an all-woman firm and killing it! What sets us aside is that we never run from a fight. We fight until the end for our clients.

What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is setting and achieving a goal. Success can also be making strides in an area you never expected to be in. As long as you are setting short and long term goals and fighting like crazy to reach them, you are good in my book. I focus on the effort.
