Today we’d like to introduce you to Edgar and Kelly Podzemny.
Edgar and his wife Kelly founded Madison Lily Rugs, a beautiful rug showroom in the Galleria area of Houston. Edgar and Kelly met while in Hawaii and their love for art, culture and travel has inspired their unique rug collection. Artists rarely allow anyone to stand on their art, let alone place furniture on it. Madison Lily rugs are pieces of art in the form of a unique, customizable rug that will enhance the look of any room in your home.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
One of the challenges we face early on in our business was sourcing unique rugs that suited our aesthetic. In 2008 we decided to go directly to our weaving sources in India and Nepal to create and design our own brand of handmade rugs, with a modern or transitional presentation.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Madison Lily Rugs – what should we know?
