Eric, please share your story with us.
We are a firearms dealer and training company in NW Houston. I created our business to help others become more safe. Our official mission statement is:
“4ward defense empowers individuals to feel competent and confident to defend themselves by providing license to carry a handgun classes, firearms training, and self-defense products.”
We offer private, membership-based firearms training that is curated to each students level of familiarity with firearms. Our students attend monthly training with an instructor- just like a personal trainer at the gym. We sell guns, body armor, personal defense accessories and also offer License to Carry classes.
We pride ourselves on helping our students become more confident in knowing they can take care of themselves and their family.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
One of our greatest challenges has been ensuring that we have seamless range access to shooting ranges that allow outside instructors. Since our founder, Eric has 15 years experience in direct sales, marketing, and advertising- reaching our students has actually been the easy part.

We are a company focused on the continuing growth of both our own firearms training abilities and that of our student’s abilities as well. We pride ourselves in contributing to a safer, more prepared community of self-reliant citizens who know how to minimize exposure to evil and protect their families from it daily.

We contribute our ability to effectively get our message out to our community and students because of skill sets and experience acquired by our founder spending 15+ years with Vector Marketing.
Our founder Eric has trained over 3,000 sales reps and managers to run their own businesses- generating over 16 million in sales. He learned interpersonal communication skills, time management, advertising, goal setting/ execution, and marketing from Vector.
His ability to connect and teach students on each of their unique skill levels allows him to always exceed their expectations and have them come away with an abundance of confidence after classes.
