Thanks for sharing your story with us Florence. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve always enjoyed making a variety of flavors of popcorn for my own satisfaction. My sister and I used to always make candy and teenage girls. I decided a few months ago to make candy with my great niece Cali and things took off from there.
Has it been a smooth road?
Things have gone smoothly, I believe, due to my way of doing business. I always allow the customers to sample before purchasing. I will say my only struggle is getting my name out there due to my being new to the city.

Noonie’s Treats and Specialties specializes in flavored popcorns, nuts, candies, pickle (varieties) and Cajun cuisines. Know mostly for Cajun Spice and Chocolate Pecan Swirl popcorn flavors, Almond Butter Crunch, Pecan Pralines and Gumbo. The love, care, freshness and ability to sample before the purchase is what sets me apart from others.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
I truly believe Houston is a great city for self starters. It is a large city with lots of territories to cover. What may or may not work in one part of the city; it may be exactly what’s needed in another part of it.
