Genae, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Having a skincare brand/business was another one of my long-term goals. My four-year-old son has suffered with skin conditions, such as eczema and patchy skin, since birth. I’ve always been cautious on what I allowed to be put onto his skin, so I began researching safe and holistic remedies to avoid chemicals. Also, I ‘ve always received compliments on how radiant my skin is. Seeing such great results on both my son and I from products I created pushed me harder to help others achieve the same results. Now, here we are… clearing skin and boosting self-esteem!!
Has it been a smooth road?
Being a full-time mom, a full-time nurse, and learning how to manage my business has not been the easiest journey. It has been busy, to say the least but I am learning what works best for me and to take everything one step at a time. Marketing and customer engagement are one area of improvement I am focusing on.

The lotus flower grows in muddy water and still rises above the surface with remarkable beauty and cleanliness. To know that people are loving their results and becoming more comfortable and confident in their skin makes me so happy.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the next 5-10 years, I see the beauty industry skyrocketing with stronger than expected growth. With recurring purchase patterns and prioritization of health and wellness goals, I believe Lotus by Gee will fall in this number and stay on an upward trajectory with so much more opportunities for growth.
