So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
We are a local brother and sister business partnership and longtime fans of Tulsa’s unique laundromat, The University of Wash. Remodeling and keeping this business alive is something we have taken much pride in and plan to keep it of the utmost standards for many more years to come.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Machines break and people take. We have taken obstacles and turned them into opportunities.

Tulsa’s favorite laundromat has been begging for a makeover for a long time and now that time has come! New front load washers and dryers accompanied by improved arcade games, new sandwich menu, liquor and beer on tap and bottled! Free Wi-Fi, study nooks and drop off service will reel the crowds back in!
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Of course, encouraging friends and family have been a big part of our journey! Without someone always there to pat you on the back or remind you “you can” we would have never gotten this far. Surrounding yourself with a positive and mentally strong support group is the only way to go.
