Meet Jasmine Jackson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Jackson.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jasmine. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started with a love; ever since February 22, 1996, I was surrounded by a close family that taught me on a daily basis not only how to move through life but how to move throughout life smart. There is no possible way I could be the Jasmine Jackson I am today without the Jackson family; I was built on a foundation of strength, unity, and most importantly love. Then, I started with an open mind, growing up in a small country town for so many years you become close-minded and I always knew I wanted more. I went away to college as soon as I graduated from high school at Blinn College, where I achieved my associate’s degree in arts and three years later to the University of Houston where I will graduate with my bachelor’s in Educational psychology. That was simply how it all started, love, and an open mind, this is why I am here today.

Has it been a smooth road?
There’s no such thing a smooth road if there is… I don’t want to be driving on it. My journey to today looks like Westheimer rd., but this is what made me. The pothole on the right might be filled with happiness but the one on the left is filled with a WHOLE LOT of anxiety. You always see the meme’s on how annoying it is to have, but no one really understands the severity of it. To this day, I still face the challenges of anxiety; but it no longer changes my path. I learned this is a disorder I will have forever and it’s up to me to make something out of it.

The Christopher Steven – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I am the creator of The ChristopherSteven, which is a lifestyle blog created to help young women live their best life. The lifestyle blog is themed around the original film, Mean Girls, where I revamped The Burn Book into a diary of “cheat-codes” for happiness, confidence, skincare, health, and The ChristopherSteven TV. What makes The ChristopherSteven different is what makes me the proudest; without any training or guidance I did EVERYTHING on my own, I stayed up for two days straight with no sleep designing my website and making it perfect for viewers. I still cannot believe I was capable of doing something so big/so fast on my own. I want people to know when you are visiting my lifestyle blog, that it’s all me; Everything from directing the photoshoots, content, makeup/hair, I came up with every idea. I’ve held my vision of being a voice for others for so long, there’s was no way possible I could have someone else do it for me.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I see The ChristopherSteven being the Powerhouse for women to find themselves, as it is not an easy journey. Within the next year, I want to add interior designing and photography services to my site as well; I always tell people if there was no ChristopherSteven I would be shooting a camera or designing someone’s forever home. My passions and talents can be all over the place but that doesn’t change the hard work, passion, and quality I put into anything I do. The ChristopherSteven will ring bells in the ears of women that are open to change all our the globe and I will claim that until my work is done.
