Today we’d like to introduce you to Jenny Vargas-Ha.
Jenny’s journey into the holistic world began when she suffered from debilitating migraines. Consulting numerous western medicine doctors, their only solution was pharmaceuticals, so she decided to seek a natural route. She was initially scared of needles, and skeptical, however she was so desperate for help. Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine helped ease the migraines as well as many other conditions she was experiencing – painful, irregular periods, achy joints, and insomnia.
Fast forward a few years later. She was soul searching to find her calling, and she found out about the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. It was then she realized what she was meant to do, and she enrolled immediately! Five years later, with a marriage and a baby in between, she is fulfilling her dream of helping others naturally!
Jenny received her Masters in Oriental Medicine from the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, one of the top schools in the US. She opened up her own clinic to be able to work a schedule that was flexible to have enough time to be with her family. Jenny loves what she does and feels she was born to be an Acupuncturist. She is truly fulfilled to be able to help people on a daily basis in such a relaxing and holistic way.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been the smoothest journey. Juggling full-time school and work was very stressful, then to plan a wedding and have a baby in between was quite a struggle. We lived in Meyerland when Hurricane Harvey hit so losing everything in the middle of running a business was quite chaotic. After losing everything, you gain a new perspective and strive to overcome as much as possible from such a traumatic experience.
In order to give back, I gave complimentary treatments to Harvey victims and first responders. It was then I realized my situation was not as bad as others had it. This experience gave me, even more, drive to help my patients as much as possible as many people are still not fully recovered. Acupuncture is amazing for PTSD and it became something I learned more about to raise awareness on such an important issue.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into The Natural Point Acupuncture story. Tell us more about the business.
My business is The Natural Point Acupuncture, a holistic wellness clinic specializing in traditional Chinese medicine and acupuncture. While we offer a modern approach we are rooted in traditional methods and making sure the body is balanced. We also offer cupping, essential oil therapy, supplements and more. We treat newborns to elderly patients and treat a variety of conditions. We specialize in helping patients cope with stress in a more natural way.
We also love seeing the improvements in our facial rejuvenation patients without losing time away from work, recovery periods or going under. We are most proud of the fact that we give our patients are undivided time and attention. Each patient receives at least an hour treatment with a customized treatment plan and herbal consultation.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t feel like luck has played a role in my life or business. I have always been a hard worker and multi-tasker. I am creative and full of ideas, I always take on too much and giving up is not in my vocabulary. I work hard because I love what I do and making a difference in people’s lives is very rewarding.
I am a Gemini so there is a constant internal struggle, lol I have learned to no longer be a perfectionist and to love myself for the way that I am. My passion and determination is reflected in what I do on a daily basis.
