Today we’d like to introduce you to Kathy Jacobson.
Hi Kathy, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I could be west loop or outside 610 (I’m near I-10 & Voss area). Growing up, we didn’t have a lot of money, but I had no idea. My parents gave us lots of love while also teaching us to have a hard work ethic and a life of listening to God’s direction and putting his plans before our own. I can look back in my life and see pivotal moments when God gave me a new direction from finding a home church, Chapelwood United Methodist Church… volunteering with the youth group and 3-year-olds… to joining a young adult bible study (where I met my husband) to volunteering for the neo-natal unit at TX Children’s Hospital… going on missions to Cambodia… leaving the corporate world (with a great income) to stay home with our firstborn… meeting people that started to teach me more about the exorbitant levels of additives in our food to an opportunity to help start a clean-crafted wine company and start an elementary boys bible study at the park during covid and now, God’s got an additional way for us to help others, that we’re trying to figure out, right now.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Life is a juggle of time & energy. The devil is the most successful con artist on this planet and he can suck us all into wasting our time and only thinking about ourselves. In life, you can easily feel lost while still being extremely busy, but I learned, if I spend some of my week volunteering and in the bible, I feel on-track and I can hear God’s nudges & direction more easily.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Three years ago, I couldn’t drink wine without having that stuffed-up sinus feeling all evening and in the middle of the night and feeling foggy and yucky the next day. A friend invited me to a wine tasting to try a brand new “natural” wine. I had tried many organic wines and still got side effects.
